The website guidavulcani.it offers accompaniment and volcanological hiking guide services. The hikes are conducted exclusively by authorized Volcanological Guides pursuant to current regulations.
The booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation (via email or WhatsApp) from the Guide.
The user must provide a valid mobile number for any urgent communications related to weather or volcanic changes.
The prices shown on the site are in Euro (€) and are per person, unless otherwise stated for private tours.
Included: Accompaniment with a Volcanological Guide, RC insurance, any technical equipment (e.g. helmet) where specified.
Excluded: Cable car/special transport tickets, meals, drinks, and anything not expressly indicated in the hike sheet.
The user declares to be in good health and not to suffer from conditions (especially cardiac or respiratory) incompatible with altitude and the physical effort required.
The hike is not recommended for those who lead a sedentary lifestyle. Any health issue must be communicated to the Guide before departure.
The Guide reserves the right to refuse participation to persons who show clearly inadequate physical conditions or equipment, in order to ensure the group’s safety.
Participation is subject to the use of the equipment indicated in the technical sheet (e.g. high-ankle trekking boots, layered winter clothing).
In case of unsuitable equipment, the Guide may prevent the user from taking part without the latter being entitled to refunds.
Guide’s authority: Given the unpredictable nature of the volcanic and weather environment, the Guide has unquestionable authority to change, shorten or cancel the route at any time to ensure safety.
Cancellation by the Guide: In case of cancellation due to force majeure (volcanic alert, extreme bad weather), the user will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the fee paid (excluding any third-party handling costs).
Cancellation by the user: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure do not provide for a refund of the fee/deposit.
The guides are covered by a Civil Liability (RC) policy towards third parties for risks connected to the activity.
However, visiting active volcanic environments involves inherent risks. By participating, the user accepts the nature of the activity and declares to release the Guide from liability for accidents due to chance, force majeure, or failure to comply with the instructions given.
During the hikes, photos may be taken or videos recorded for promotional purposes for the website and social channels of guidavulcani.it. By participating, the user gives consent to the processing of their image. Otherwise, they must inform the Guide before departure.
